Sustainability
Our Commitment Sustainability and Quality
At San Leucio, sustainability is a journey we're passionate about. While we strive to use recycled, organic, and natural fibers in our collections, some of our garments incorporate blended materials. This balance reflects our ongoing effort to integrate more sustainable fabrics without compromising on quality or design.
Caring for Your Garments
Did you know we tend to wash our clothes more often than necessary? For example, a pair of jeans can be worn at least 10 times before needing a wash, and tailored wool suits often require only one wash per year, thanks to wool’s natural disinfectant properties. To help prolong the life of your garments, we recommend:
- Spot-cleaning minor stains and spills instead of washing the entire piece.
- Airing out items between wears to keep them fresh.
Our Factories and Craftsmanship
Our garments are created in China by professional tailors and seamstresses who combine traditional expertise with modern technology. These artisans undergo regular training and use state-of-the-art machinery to ensure the highest quality garments. Their dedication and love for their craft are matched by our commitment to their well-being, offering safe, supportive workplaces where they have opportunities to up-skill and enjoy well-deserved time off.
To maintain high standards, we work closely with our trusted agents who conduct regular factory audits and quality checks.
Transparency
As a small business, we take pride in tracking every step of our production journey—from sourcing materials to the finished product. While we don’t share all the finer details publicly just yet, transparency is a value we’re actively working to strengthen. All our production facilities hold certifications which we are working towards discussing in the near future.
The Challenges of Sustainability
Sustainability comes with its challenges, particularly for small businesses like ours. Working with smaller quantities and responsibly sourced materials often increases costs. Despite these hurdles, we remain committed to finding innovative ways to make sustainability more accessible as we grow.
